Dam Trau Beach: A Pristine Cinematic Location in Con Dao Located in the northern part of Con Son Island, near Co Ong Airport in the Con Dao Special Zone, Dam Trau Beach is considered one of the most beautiful and pristine natural beaches in Vietnam. Dam Trau Beach is designated as a natural beach and a high-quality eco-tourism development area under Decision No. 1518/QD-TTg dated September 5, 2011. This location is associated with the romantic yet tragic folklore of Cau and Trau, providing profound cultural depth to the setting. From a technical filming perspective, Dam Trau Beach features a crescent-shaped coastline framed by steep cliffs and dense tropical vegetation. This multi-layered topography allows cinematographers to easily capture brilliant sunset lighting, excellent water reflections, and highly lyrical, visually rich wide shots. With its untouched natural beauty and isolated atmosphere, Dam Trau Beach is an exceptionally suitable cinematic backdrop for romantic dramas, survival adventure films, art-house cinema, and nature-focused documentary projects.

Location rules

• Strictly prohibited to operate drones (flycams) without a Flight Operation Permit issued specifically for the Dam Trau Beach coordinates by the Operations Department of the Ministry of National Defense.
• Prohibited to cut or damage mangrove trees, 'phong ba' trees, or sea almond trees surrounding the beach.
• Prohibited to discharge chemical waste, paint, or toxic smoke-generating substances into the sea or onto the sand.
