Hien Van Ancient Village

Hien Van Ancient Village – A vestige of Northern Vietnamese village architecture. Hien Van Ancient Village in Bac Ninh preserves ancient houses, village walls, and traditional architecture, having previously been selected as a film location. Hien Van Ancient Village is located in Lien Bao Commune, Bac Ninh Province. It is a Northern Vietnamese village space that retains many traces of traditional architecture, including ancient houses noted by Bac Ninh Newspaper to be hundreds of years old. Following the administrative unit reorganization in 2025, Hien Van is one of the localities that now forms Lien Bao Commune. The visual value of Hien Van lies in the interplay between ancient wooden architecture and modern life. The ancient houses, brick walls, stone partitions, moss-covered tiled roofs, and village paths create a space marked by time, suitable for frames capturing the essence of Northern Vietnamese village life and architecture. Hien Van was selected as a primary filming location for the television series “Nguoc duong nguoc nang” (Against the Sun), demonstrating the site's ability to meet the visual requirements of professional film production. Given its existing spatial characteristics, the location is suitable for dramas, cultural films, and works exploring Northern Vietnamese rural life, provided it aligns with script requirements.
