Tra Su Cajuput Forest – The verdant hue of the Mekong Delta's wetland ecosystem. Tra Su Cajuput Forest is an 845-hectare wetland eco-tourism site located in An Cu Commune, An Giang Province, often described as a "jade gem" that preserves the pristine ecosystem of the Mekong Delta. The forest holds immense biological and historical significance, having served as a resilient revolutionary base for the military and people of the West Hau River region. The cinematic landscape is breathtaking, featuring vast stretches of flooded cajuput trees, lush green carpets of duckweed covering the canal surfaces, and the chirping of over 70 species of water birds (including the painted stork and oriental darter listed in the Red Data Book). Notably, the "Song of the South" (Dat rung phuong Nam) film set, featuring ancient thatched-roof houses and 1920s-style grocery stores along the canal, is kept intact by the management board for filming purposes. This location is ideal for historical films recreating the Six Provinces of Southern Vietnam (Nam Ky Luc Tinh) in the early 20th century, as well as war, action-adventure, survival, and nature documentary films.
