The new trailer for Beast Heart reveals the grueling survival journey of officer James Belmont (Brad Pitt) and his service dog following a plane crash in Alaska.

Paramount Pictures has just released the latest trailer for Beast Heart, a feature film starring Brad Pitt.
The second trailer for Beast Heart focuses on the bond between James Belmont (Brad Pitt) and his service dog, Odin, while unveiling the challenges they must overcome to find their way home.
Set to the track "Stand By Me," the footage follows the two characters through a harsh wilderness, where they must face treacherous terrain, freezing weather, and wild animals.
Following a plane crash in Alaska, James Belmont and Odin are stranded deep in the wilderness. In the trailer, he realizes they cannot wait for rescue and must find a way to survive on their own.
The pair encounters packs of wild wolves, dangerous swamps, and snow-covered mountain ranges. Amidst these trials, James Belmont risks his life to save Odin but slips and falls into a rushing river.
Witnessing his companion in danger, Odin immediately leaps into action to save the man who has always stood by his side, highlighting a story of loyalty, sacrifice, and the bond between human and animal.

According to Variety, the majority of Beast Heart was filmed in New Zealand in 2025. Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu, Glenorchy, Mount Aspiring National Park, and Milford Sound were used to recreate the Alaskan landscape.
Notably, the production team collaborated with Andrew Simpson, the trainer behind the impressive performances of the Malinois dogs in the John Wick series, to create the most authentic and emotive portrayal of Odin possible.
Beast Heart marks the reunion of Brad Pitt and David Ayer following Fury (2014). In their previous collaboration, Brad Pitt played a tank crew member during World War II.
With this new feature film, David Ayer shifts to a survival story centered on a soldier and his canine companion. The director noted that both he and Brad Pitt have matured over the years, describing the project as "an incredibly difficult experience."
"This journey is filled with a lot of joy and hope. Beast Heart will certainly be a new milestone and is perhaps the most challenging film I have ever made. There is no room for error," he shared.
Beast Heart is scheduled for theatrical release on September 25.
