"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is the fourth Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker. The film was released on July 31 and quickly became a box office sensation. According to Sony, the production grossed $360 million in the North American market and $932 million globally in its opening week, making it one of the biggest debuts in cinematic history.
By mid-August, the film continued to maintain its momentum and surpassed the $2 billion global revenue mark, placing "Brand New Day" among the rare few to achieve this milestone. This achievement also helped the film surpass "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in revenue, becoming the highest-grossing film in Sony's history.
In this context, Tom Holland's compensation has drawn significant attention. According to Page Six, citing three sources familiar with the contract, the actor received a base salary of at least $20 million for the new film, approximately $10 million more than what he was reportedly paid for "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in 2021.
The notable aspect lies in the revenue-based bonuses. According to the cited sources, Holland's contract includes an uncapped backend bonus. This means his total earnings could increase significantly if the film continues to perform well at the box office. One source even suggested that the actor could earn over $100 million from the film.
