VOV.VN - Ryan Gosling has just revealed the first images of Star Wars: Starfighter. The new blockbuster from the Star Wars franchise is expected to hit theaters in May 2027.

Ryan Gosling recently appeared at the D23 event to introduce the first images of “Star Wars: Starfighter” - the latest film in the iconic cinematic franchise.
In the film, Gosling plays Kade, a man “from the other side of the galaxy,” whose destiny is tied to a starship described as the fastest starfighter ever built.
The footage screened shows Kade and Flynn Gray’s character discovering the mysterious ship. This is followed by a series of action sequences featuring chases and space combat.
Director Shawn Levy stated that Starfighter retains the familiar spirit of Star Wars with its themes of hope, family, and adventure, but is set in a timeline that has never been explored before.
The film is set after “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” (2019) and features a cast including Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, and Amy Adams.
“Star Wars: Starfighter” is scheduled for a global release on May 28, 2027. This is also one of two major projects that Ryan Gosling and Shawn Levy are collaborating on. The pair will continue to work together on Marvel’s “Ghost Rider,” expected to be released in 2028.
