Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Lenh Hung Tu re-elected as President of the Vietnam Cinema Association for the 2026–2031 term

(TGĐA) - On the afternoon of August 28, in Hanoi, the 10th Executive Committee of the Vietnam Cinema Association held its second conference for the 2026–2031 term, with the primary agenda of electing the Association's President.

According to information from the Vietnam Cinema Association, on the afternoon of August 28, at the Association's headquarters, the 10th Executive Committee held its second conference with the full attendance of 15/15 members to conduct the election for the position of Association President for the 2026–2031 term.
The conference was attended and directed by representatives from the Department of Culture and Arts under the Central Propaganda Department; the Party Committee of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; and the Mass Association Work Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
At the conference, the Executive Committee cast their votes for the new term's President. The vote count results showed that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Lenh Hung Tu was re-elected as President of the Vietnam Cinema Association for the 2026–2031 term with 100% of the votes.
This marks the second consecutive term that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Lenh Hung Tu has served as President of the Vietnam Cinema Association. Previously, he held the position of President for the 2020–2025 term.
Immediately after the election concluded, under the leadership of President Do Lenh Hung Tu, the Executive Committee proceeded to assign duties to members for the new term, in a spirit of promoting democracy, solidarity, and the individual capabilities of each member, aiming to effectively implement the action program of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Cinema Association.

The continued trust placed in Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Lenh Hung Tu serves as recognition of his contributions during the previous term, while also setting new expectations for the Vietnam Cinema Association in the 2026–2031 period—a phase defined by the requirements for innovation, creativity, and the development of a modern and humanistic Vietnamese cinema.
In this new term, the Vietnam Cinema Association continues to face numerous opportunities and challenges in uniting artists, fostering creativity, supporting young generations of filmmakers, and contributing to building an increasingly professional and integrated Vietnamese film industry.
