According to Lao Dong Newspaper, Vietnamese cinema is becoming an attractive destination for international artists, as evidenced by a series of collaborative projects such as Mang me di bo, Me oi, ve nha, and Tay anh giu mot vi sao, featuring stars like Lee Yi Kyung, Choi Daniel, and Lee Kwang Soo. Unlike in the past, foreign actors are now taking on pivotal roles in the narrative, reflecting the rising stature of the Vietnamese film industry. The success of Mang me di bo (grossing over 170 billion VND) demonstrates that audiences are ready to embrace collaborative works provided the script and production quality are well-invested. However, international stars cannot compensate for a weak script, as seen in Me oi, ve nha, which still showed limitations in its narrative structure. This trend of collaboration opens up opportunities to elevate Vietnamese cinema while simultaneously highlighting the need for higher-quality scripts, diverse genres, and the development of professional cast and crew.
