Ta Pa Rice Fields – Colorful patchwork fields at the foot of the Seven Mountains (Bay Nui). Located at the foot of Ta Pa and Co To mountains, approximately 1km from Tri Ton town in An Giang province, the Ta Pa Rice Fields are renowned as the only terraced rice fields in the Mekong Delta. The fields possess a vibrant and serene beauty, thanks to the unique local Khmer tradition of 'van cong' (communal farming). Under this practice, farmers cultivate their land collectively by area, creating a stunning mosaic of colors: patches of lush light green, pale yellow, golden yellow ready for harvest, and dark brown stubble. Dotted across this colorful landscape are tall, resilient sugar palm trees, with small dirt paths cutting through the fields like silk ribbons. At sunset, the long shadows of the palm trees, combined with the sight of farmers leading their buffaloes home, create a vivid and poetic scene of the Southern Vietnamese countryside.
