Yang Tao Pottery Village - A space for M’nong traditional pottery craftsmanship. Located in Dong Bak Village, Lien Son Commune, Lak District, Yang Tao Pottery Village is a site dedicated to the traditional pottery practices of the M’nong community. On December 10, 2024, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 3991/QD-BVHTTDL, officially recognizing the M’nong pottery craft in Yang Tao as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. The outstanding value of this location lies in its entirely manual production process: clay is processed, kneaded, and shaped by hand without the use of a potter's wheel. Artisans use simple tools to refine shapes and create patterns, followed by an open-air firing method. The craft is preserved within the M’nong community, with active artisans currently practicing in Dong Bak and Yok Duon villages. For film production, this space is well-suited for documentaries, cultural and ethnographic films, art films, and feature films exploring community life and traditional crafts. The stages of clay extraction, shaping, decorating, and firing provide a compelling sequence of visuals for observational filming.
