Quan Lan Island

Quan Lan Island - Coastal landscapes and the heritage of Van Don. Located in Bai Tu Long Bay within the Van Don Special Economic Zone, Quang Ninh Province, Quan Lan Island is deeply connected to the history and development of the ancient Van Don Trading Port. Established during the Ly Dynasty (1149), Quan Lan was once a vital trade hub between Dai Viet and foreign merchants. The island preserves a system of historical sites, including Cai Lang Wharf, Quan Lan Communal House and Pagoda, the temple dedicated to the three Pham brothers, the Tran Khanh Du Shrine, Choi Well, Long Dinh Temple, and Mang River. Quan Lan is characterized by a blend of sea, sandy beaches, forests, and coastal residential areas. The Quan Lan - Minh Chau region boasts long white-sand beaches, diverse island ecosystems, and natural forests. Communal houses, pagodas, and shrines are interspersed within the local community, creating a distinct cultural landscape of the Northeast coastal region. For film production, Quan Lan offers a diverse range of settings, including coastal landscapes, fishing villages, forests, beaches, and historical-cultural sites within a single location.
