Ha Long Bay - A seascape and limestone wonder. Located in Quang Ninh Province, Northeast Vietnam, Ha Long Bay is renowned for its system of limestone islands, karst mountains, caves, and seascapes formed through long-term geological evolution. The bay was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1994 for its aesthetic value and in 2000 for its geological and geomorphological significance. In 2023, the heritage boundary was expanded to merge with the Cat Ba Archipelago, forming the Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago World Heritage site. The system of limestone islands, cliffs, caves, water surfaces, and tour routes offers a diverse filming environment, ranging from panoramic island vistas and large-scale natural landscapes to cave interiors and water-based activities. The karst topography invaded by the sea, combined with rocky mountains, open water, and vegetation, creates frames with great depth, characteristic of the Northeast region of Vietnam. Ha Long Bay is suitable for feature films, television, documentaries, travelogues, commercials, music videos, and art programs. It accommodates scenes involving nature, exploration, tourism, coastal life, and stories centered on marine environments, while providing visual advantages due to its scale and international recognition as a heritage site.
