Hoa Lu Ancient Capital - The imprint of the ancient capital amidst the limestone mountains of Ninh Binh Located in Tay Hoa Luv Ward, Ninh Binh Province, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital is a Special National Heritage site and part of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex inscribed by UNESCO in 2014. It served as the capital of the Dinh and Early Le dynasties in the 10th century, associated with the establishment of the Dai Co Viet state. The site features the temples of King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Dai Hanh, temple courtyards, tiled roofs, and intricate wood and stone carvings. The worship structures are nestled among limestone mountains, creating a harmonious blend of traditional architecture and natural landscape. This space is ideal for wide shots capturing the relationship between historical monuments and topography, as well as close-ups focusing on decorative arts. The current temples are not the original 10th-century palaces. Hoa Lu Ancient Capital is well-suited for historical films, heritage documentaries, and productions exploring traditional culture and beliefs. • Special attention is required when filming in Zone I protection areas of Special National Heritage sites (Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam), the Ba Dinh political center area (Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, National Assembly Building), and military, security, and defense areas in accordance with specialized management regulations.
• For foreign film crews, it is mandatory to use film production services provided by a Vietnamese cinematic establishment.
• Do not infringe upon, damage, or independently alter the architecture, artifacts, stone stelae, and original elements of the special national heritage site.
• Respect religious activities at the temples of King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Dai Hanh; do not disrupt rituals and spiritual practices.
• Comply with the internal regulations of the heritage site; ensure safety, environmental sanitation, and avoid obstructing visitor activities.
• Filming crews must contact the management unit to verify approval procedures, filming scope, equipment placement, and props.
