The work leaves a mark thanks to several notable highlights:
The content recreates the 1952 Ben Dam prison break, fully portraying the indomitable will and burning desire for freedom of revolutionary soldiers at Con Dao prison.
The script was developed over 10 years, meticulously refined by screenwriter Dao Thuy Trang from authentic historical sources and dedicated field research trips.
A poetic artistic language, highlighting the contrast between the brutal prison environment and the vast natural sea and sky, blended with the sound of the dan bau (monochord) symbolizing the vitality of the nation.
