Hong Thai Communal House – A historical setting amidst the mountains and forests of Tan Trao. Hong Thai Communal House is located within the Tan Trao Special National Relic Site in Tuyen Quang Province. Situated on the right bank of the Pho Day River, it is deeply connected to the traditional spiritual life of the local Tay ethnic community. The communal house was reconstructed in 1919, featuring a three-bay, two-lean-to architectural style characteristic of the Viet Bac region. On May 21, 1945, while traveling from Pac Bo to Tan Trao, President Ho Chi Minh stopped at Hong Thai Communal House to meet with leaders of the Nguyen Hue Sub-zone. During the Tan Trao National Congress on August 16–17, 1945, the site served as a reception area for delegates attending the Congress. Throughout the resistance war against the French, it continued to be used for logistics and military activities of the revolutionary base. With its traditional communal house architecture, village atmosphere, the Pho Day River, and the landscapes of Viet Bac, this location is ideal for historical and revolutionary films, as well as productions recreating Vietnamese life in the early 20th century.
