Cuc Phuong National Park – Primeval Forest Location Cuc Phuong National Park spans across three provinces: Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, and Thanh Hoa, covering a total area of 22,408 hectares. Established in 1962, it is Vietnam's first national park. The majority of its area, located within Ninh Binh province, falls under the current Cuc Phuong commune. Cuc Phuong is characterized by tropical rainforests, featuring a rich ecosystem of flora and fauna, alongside significant archaeological, historical, and cultural values. Regarding its value as a filming location, the primeval forest, limestone mountains, valleys, and cave systems provide diverse layers of natural space for production. Caves such as the Prehistoric Man Cave (Dong Nguoi Xua), Chua Cave, and Thuy Tien Cave, combined with the forest landscape, can be utilized for scenes involving nature, exploration, and prehistoric human traces. Notably, the Prehistoric Man Cave preserves archaeological evidence dating back thousands of years, adding historical depth to the setting.
